Nero fiddled while Rome burned. Lappin feasted while Wall Street crumbled. I just finished another great session, raking in a cool 1K at my new/old home. How could I have forsaken you my dear 45 player SNG?

It was funny playing poker tonight. I had the BBC news on all night in the background with its analysis of the free-falling global markets and its apocalyptic predictions of chaos and meltdown. It was as though all I had to do was turn towards my screen and everything was calm and the world was okay. Life was exactly as it should be. Donkeys were donating. Sharks were devouring fishes. I even flopped a few sets. Perhaps Full Tilt should create a Wall Street On Fire Background to remind people like me that the world is in crisis.

I'm reminded of the scene in Mars Attacks where Art Land - the casino entrepreneur portrayed by Jack Nicholson, is standing in his corporate meeting room in Las Vegas while buildings are getting leveled all around him, and he sees nothing but opportunity for profit, exclaiming "Even in a time of intergalactic crisis, people still want to roll them bones!!!"

Anyways Lappin - I had a question for you. I don't know how much of your personal strategy you want to disclose... but on those Super Turbos.... what do you do with the following cards assuming early/mid position & early in the tournament?

A10
A9
KQ
Pocket Pairs 66 and under?

I tend to fold all the above. Too tight?

In the first level:

In EP, I fold everything you mentioned before the Hijack but in the HJ, A10 is good to shove and so are 8s-6s.

In the second level (20/40):
In EP, I still fold everything until the seat before the HJ where I fly with A10, KQ and 8s-6s
In the HJ, A9 and any pair become good to fly.

In further levels, a lot more depends on stack sizes (mine and the remaining players)
